I know that wearing socks with sandals is really not that cool. However, after 3 sixty mile walks where I developed MAJOR heel blisters I have switched walking footwear from sneakers (fitted by a pro) to sandals. Another reason I am walking in Tampa. An old man wearing sandals WITHOUT socks would be the exception down there!
